GREEN BEHAVIOR OF PAPER TOWEL

GREEN BEHAVIOR OF PAPER TOWEL:

Paper towels have great economical use today. As these are convenient, quick, and no washing process is required after its use. But environmental and commercial wastes of paper towels lead to tremendous trash build-up which directly or indirectly harms the environment. S to avoid this pollution, green paper towels are used having eco-friendly behavior:
  • Processed chlorine-free
  • Natural brown paper towels
  • 80% recycled post-consumer fibers
To make the paper towel eco-friendly, we should follow the 3R's behavior of waste management.  this waste hierarchy is the guidance suggested for creating a sustainable life. You might be wondering as to how can you incorporate these principles into your daily life. They are not hard to implement. All you need is to bring a small change in your daily lifestyle to reduce waste so that less amount of it goes to the landfill that can reduce your carbon footprint.
reduce reuse recycle

    REUSE-FIRST 'R':

The concept of reducing what's produced and what's consumed is important to the waste hierarchy. The logic behind it's simple to know – if there's less waste, then there's less to recycle or reuse. the method of reducing begins with an examination of what you're using, and what it's used for.
There are easy steps to access the reduction value of an item or process –

    reduce

    • Make less use of paper towels by changing with linen napkins for everyday purposes.
    • Keep fewer paper towels around
    • Make your own cloth napkins
    • Print on both sides of the paper so that it lessens the number of paper towels
    • Prefer washing your hand instead of using paper towels for cleaning and drying
    • Use cloth napkins instead of paper towels
    • Avoid using too much toilet paper towels which results in huge wastes.
    • Do not use them for frying items.
    • Buy long sustainable cloth napkins instead of it.
We still use paper towels for a few things like oily or greasy foods. Newspaper and paper grocery bags are often suggested as alternatives. This seems counterintuitive to me as they'll have a good bigger environmental impact than paper towels. Besides, I gave up my national newspaper subscription years ago, and that we take reusable bags to the grocery so don’t have paper bags available.

    REUSE-SECOND 'R':

Reuse –use items over and over and give gently used items to others.
You may find bargains on old furniture or go trash picking and obtain things that you can refinish – in either case you're working towards reusing the item. Learning to reuse items, or re-purpose them for a use different then what they're intended for is important within the waste hierarchy.

    • Store items into the jars and bottles which in turn decrease the use of paper towels
    • Use the bags instead of using tissues for several purposes
    • After cleaning your hands with paper towels, you can wash that and keep drying
    • Waste paper can be used for making decorative items
    • Waste paper can be used to make notes and sketches
    • Old newspaper can be used for packing instead of paper towel
    • Old tissues can be used for dusting
    • An old cloth can be used for making cloth napkin
    • Used wood can be used for making paper towels
We usually repeat more than one-time use to wipe down the tables, clean any messes or accumulate for cleaning the restrooms mirrors, vanity and such. This process will work if the paper towels/napkins are durable kinds. If they're the flimsy ones just like the ones you receive from nutriment restaurants, those won't work.

    RECYCLE-THIRD 'R':

There are two types of recycled paper fiber used to make recycled paper towels.
    • Postconsumer Fiber: is paper that has been made into a finished product like a cereal box or sheet of paper, is used, and then recycled.
    • Manufacturing Waste Fiber: is scrap generated during manufacturing paper products or repulped finished paper from obsolete inventories

The last stage of the waste hierarchy is to recycle. To recycle something means it'll be transformed again into a staple which will be shaped into a replacement item. There are only a few materials on the world that can't be recycled. one of the problems facing communities that want to become more involved in a recycling effort is that while the relying collection and sorting process could also be affordable to implement, there still has got to be a facility to receive and transform the discarded waste into a staple. More progress is being made toward uniting recycling plants with industries which will process the waste through agreements and incentive credits.

    • Use recycled paper towels that can be recycled
    • Use recycled paper for printing and paper handicraft
    • Buy those paper towels that are made from recycled materials
    • Avoid buying hazardous materials that can pose difficulty
    • Invent new ways to recycle the paper towel
    • The product should be eco-friendly

    NEED FOR REDUCE REUSE RECYCLE:

    • It is easy
    • It saves natural resources
    • It saves money
    • It saves energy
    • It saves landfill space
    • It reduces pollution
    • It protects the environment
